A high-quality industrial printer company, asked for us to provide them renders of a showroom concept for one of the major printing exhibition events in Europe, FESPA.
I created several concepts of the showroom space in Maya and added silhouettes for scale in Photoshop. When they were approved, I then tweaked any requested changes and added in the 3D models of people and rendered in Marmoset. The main focus was to incorporate either AR or VR (or both) so more printers could be showcased for a range of different needs by the customers. Users could see the printers on the show floor and then take a more immersive look to view what type of printer best suited them with the help of VR or AR. As well as this, was the idea of monolith thought mirror with Mixed Reality to catch the eye of potential passing customers at the event. Customers could then speak to a representative in a consultation room and/or see a host presented experience in a small 4D cinema.
Although the client did not go ahead with our final designs, I was very proud with the end result and with the speed at which I was able to create everything in a few days.
